ETC
Computer Solutions Purchases ComputerLand of Quincy
Two
of the Tri-State area’s leading technology solution providers
have become one. ETC Computer Solutions has acquired ComputerLand
of Quincy. The new organization will be known as ETC ComputerLand
and will employ over 40 technicians, web designers and programmers,
service and support staff.
“We’re very excited about the potential”, says
Eric Thomas, President. “We can capitalize on the strengths
of both companies, offering a more diverse, more powerful set
of computer solutions and technologies. ETC has always been strong
in small to medium size businesses and web development, while
ComputerLand has focused their energies on larger networks and
server support. By combining the talents and enthusiasm of employees
of both companies, we’re confident in our ability to provide
more responsive and personal service to any size business.”
Thomas says the acquisition will also help provide cutting edge
technology. “Our level of expertise has leaped forward by
combining staff. We’ll be able to more easily stay abreast
of our constantly changing industry, offering technologies like
voice over IP, integrated web-based applications, more efficient
connectivity solutions, and multi-national service and support.”
Also important to Thomas is maintaining local ownership. “We
have always been very active in the communities we serve, with
civic groups and charitable organizations. Local ownership ensures
that will continue.”
ETC ComputerLand serves customers within a 150 mile radius of
Quincy. They have an office in Kirksville also provide service customers nationally with web development.
The current offices of ETC will move to the ComputerLand location
at 3206 Koch’s Lane.
