Eric Thomas

President

Eric graduated from Quincy University in 1995 with a degree in accounting. He worked extremely hard at an internet service provider for five years, during which time he started ETC back in 1997. Eric recently completed his Masters in Business Administration and really considers himself to be lucky to be able to love what he does every day. Eric knows his way around Cisco Systems equipment, Linux, and Windows among other hardware and operating systems. He gets to be the boss and work among a great, but slightly off-kilter team here at ETC. Every day brings new challenges which we are able to provide team-based solutions for networking, computing and website needs for our clients.

Kathryn Thomas

Office Manager

Kathryn has been a member of the ETC ComputerLand staff since its inception and functions as the Office Manager. She enjoys seeing all of the new changes and growth that is possible in the field of computer technology. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and a Master of Arts degree in Mythological Studies/Depth Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working on her home, playing with Maggie (her beloved Shih Tzu), and of course, spending time with Eric.

Brandon Bloodgood

Web Developer/Programmer

Brandon Bloodgood was born, raised, and currently resides in Hannibal, MO. Brandon found his love for programming at an early age when he began pecking away at code in 4th grade on an Apple Macintosh. At the age of 11 he received his first computer and instantly began building applications in Basic. Currently, Brandon enjoys programming in PHP, JavaScript, and exploring the power of Ruby on Rails. When not being a code monkey, Brandon enjoys carpentry, 3D modeling, and sitting down to watch a good movie with his family.

Brandon Passley

Senior Interactive Designer

Brandon graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in graphic design and a focus on interactive design in 2006. He is originally from Quincy. Before and after graduating from UIC, he worked in the competitive Chicago market doing freelance graphic design and web development for many large companies. He spent the summer after graduation in New York City studying vocal performance and working on multiple web projects. After moving back to Quincy, Brandon started working at ETC and is glad to be working with a great team. When he isn't searching for the next cutting edge idea or working on a computer, he loves getting outside as much as possible.

Chris Stegner

Service Manager

Chris is new to the town of Quincy as of 2005. He has been working with computers now since 1998. After he got his degree in Telecommunications Management from Illinois State University as well as his A+ certification, he followed his wife to Quincy when she landed a job as deaf and hard of hearing teacher for Adams County. Some of Chris' talents, aside from juggling, fire eating, fire breathing and balloon animals include computer hardware repair, windows trouble shooting, network setup, and explaining computer jargon in terms that just about anyone can understand.

Cody Hageman

Cody graduated from Quincy University in 2004 where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Certificate of Business. Before his freshmen year in college he had already decided that he wanted to major in CSC, even though he had never seen a single line of programming code in his life. Cody grew up right here in Quincy and has lived here all his life. When he is not staring at a computer screen writing code, he enjoys golfing, playing basketball, baseball and bowling. When there are no sports to play, there are always sports to watch. Cody will never miss a chance to see his favorite sports teams on the tube, including the St. Louis Rams, University of Illinois Fighting Illini, and of course Chicago White Sox baseball (is he the only fan of the Sox in Quincy?).

Dan Shelts

Network Engineer

I went to QHS and worked construction for several years during and after high school. After high school I attended Vatterotte in Quincy for 14 months before attending STL Vatterott for another 10. I received an Associates Degree in Computer Sciences. I stayed in STL working for the Dental community for a couple years before moving back to Quincy. Here at Computerland I work in the support department from 8-5. Any time between 5pm and 8am if I am not sleeping or remodeling my house I am most likely fishing for big catfish. I really enjoy tournament fishing in all the major rivers here in the Midwest.(Mississippi, Illinois, and the Missouri) I have an all black Pit Bull named Destiny who also enjoys days out on the boat.

Dean La Velle

Dean attended Liberty High School, John Wood C.C., Quincy College and the University of Illinois, while squeezing a couple of years patrolling the Berlin Wall with the U.S. Army Infantry into the mix. After nearly twenty years away from Quincy, Dean and his wife Launa returned to raise their son Alexander in a wholesome, Midwestern environment – with free babysitting by family as a big bonus! Seven years in Web development in Florida helping build several successful online businesses prepared Dean for his role at ETC ComputerLand. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading about history, science and politics, working in his yard and kayaking.

Elaine Fesler

I am married to Rick (who is a saint for keeping me all these years) and I have 3 sons (Talyn, Ryan and Kylor). I have 3 grandchildren Chase, Lanie, and Payten that I absolutely adore (and spoil). I have been in the computer business for 11 years. I have an Associate in Arts degree from John Wood Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management degree from Hannibal LaGrange College. In my spare time I love to shop, watch sports, and love spending time with family and friends.

Eric was born and raised right here in Quincy. He graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Cardinals baseball and Rams football, keeping up with his fantasy sports teams, playing video games, and spending time with his fiancé Mandi. Eric also enjoys playing slow pitch softball and the occasional round of golf in the summer.

Jason married his high school sweetheart Amy in 1994. They have 2 children Erica (9) and Faith (4). In his spare time he enjoys watching the history channel, playing online games, working on his house and spending time with his family

Jessica Unger

Web Designer

Jessica graduated from Lindenwood University with a B.A. in Information Technology in June of 2005. She left her big city life to come to Quincy and be with her husband. She loves animals and in her spare time spends time with her 3 dogs and 2 cats and any other unfortunate animals that may need her help. Jessica also enjoys playing around in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to see what she can learn and create next. She has recently sparked an interest in getting to know some of the fun programming side of the web. Jessica and her husband Brian are expecting there first little angel in May and plan on spoiling her just as much as the dogs and cats.

John Predmore has worked in the Support department at Computerland since April 1998. John grew up in Macomb, Illinois and moved to Quincy in 1996. John has experience working with a broad range of computer technologies which include: Cisco IP telephony and Security products, Microsoft server and desktop operating systems, Microsoft Exchange and storage area networks. John is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Certified Security Professional. In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife Cheryl, reading, hunting and fishing.

Kris is originally from Steedman, MO. He is a Senior Computer Information Systems major at Hannibal-LaGrange College in Hannibal, MO. He has always enjoyed working with computers and has had the opportunity to work in many different computer fields over the past few years. Kris has his A+ certification and Network+ certification and is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator. In his spare time, Kris likes to watch and play baseball and of course work on his computers. Kris is looking forward to graduation in May 2008 as well as his upcoming wedding in June 2008.

Lynn Kunz

Accounting

I grew up in Mt. Prospect, Illinois and graduated from Prospect High School a long, long time ago. I attended Culver-Stockton College for 2 years and became a life member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and met my husband, Dick. He joined the Navy (Vietnam era) and we were relocated to Honolulu, Hawaii. Living there was really interesting! After the Navy, we returned to my husbands’ home town, Quincy. I worked at Gem City Savings and Loan for 13 years in the Accounting Department and Manager of M.I.S. During that time I graduated with an Associate of Science degree from John Wood Community College. Then it was on to ComputerLand of Quincy, where I worked for 16 years as the Accounting Department. I have a daughter, Sarah, a son in law, Scott and 3 wonderful grandchildren! I also have a Doberman Pinscher puppy that is keeping me very active.

Maria Margaglione

Maria Margaglione has been the leader of our creative department since February of 2003. She accumulated many studio hours while trying to remain sane getting her Degree in Psychology at Quincy University. Maria loves taking on fresh new projects and seeing them through to the end, taking time with each client until they are satisfied with the final product. On her off time, she enjoys painting, writing, reading, watching Woody Allen movies, Wheel of Fortune, and spending quality time with her many, many cats. Some might say she’s competing with the Animal Shelter. Others just call her "The Cat Lady". And as Bob Barker says, "Please have your pets spayed and neutered!"

Matt Gower

Matt Gower has worked at ETC Computerland since July 2004. Prior to ETC Computerland, Matt lived in Kansas City and worked as a Network Design Engineer for a large financial institution. While in Kansas City, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry University. Matt has experience working with a broad range of network technologies. His primary focus has been Cisco routing, switching, wireless, security, and Unified Communications. Matt is a Cisco Certified Network Professional and a Cisco Certified Voice Professional. In his spare time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Jamie and two sons, Cayden and Kai, as well as playing and watching just about every sport.

Matthew was born and raised in Las Vegas. After moving to Canton, MO he graduated from Culver Stockton with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business Administration. After online courses he has since picked up another Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems. Since then Matthew has crossed the river, where he and his wife have purchased a home here in Quincy. Most of his time that is not spent working on his house (new roof, new kitchen, the list never stops!) is spent on the computer, whether working, gaming, or just goofing around.

Michelle Horman

Michelle graduated from the University of Utah with Bachelor degrees in Communication and Public Relations as well as a minor in Criminology. When she returned to Quincy she put those degrees to good use and went to work in the computer world. Michelle spends most of her days taking phone calls from clients and scheduling the network specialists and all the while she is profiling everyone around her using the skills learned in her Criminology classes. (Just kidding.) Michelle has been married to Mark Horman for over 13 years and has two daughters, Grace and Charlotte. In her spare time, she enjoys attending her daughters many sporting events, working on their 100+ year old home, going to auctions and watching period flicks.

I live in Mendon, IL with my wife Tracie. I have twin Daughters Sadie and Margret and a Son Roman. Sadie has two children Isaac and Sam and Margie has one child Gabriel. I enjoy Motorcycling, Gardening, playing with the Grandkids and being involved with my son’s activities and my wife's 78 Corvette. I have been with ComputerLand since 2003. I was previously with Adams Networks, Computer Works, Technology Solutions and ACT Computers. I started in the IT business in 1996.

Mike Smith has worked at ETC Computerland since January 2008. Prior to his arrival at ETC Computerland, Mike was employed as the IT Manager for Adams Telephone Co-Operative. He has many years of experience supporting a wide range of computers and networking platforms. Mike works with several Cisco technologies and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Mike is a native of Quincy and likes spending his spare time with his wife Brenda, daughter Kody, and son Zach; as well as playing guitar and studying about the latest advances in information technology.

Rhonda Primm

Hello Kirksville! Some folks may have already recognized the face. But if not, my name is Rhonda Primm and I'm a home grown native of Kirksville. My folks (Larry and Carletta Sprague) choose to raise my sister and I in the great Northeast Missouri town of Kirksville. During my childhood my favorite pass time was riding horses and I still love riding to this day. My husband (Jerrin), myself and children (Devon and Morgan) all enjoy the opportunity to go to Eminence once a year horseback riding. What a treat!! I graduated for Kirksville Senior High in 1984 and endeavored out into the ol' mighty workforce. My career focus over the past 15 years has been information technology. Information Technology Specialist, Technology Coordinator, Data Analyst and Network Technician are some of the many technology related positions I have held. Technology is an ever changing world and I enjoy the challenges. I especially enjoy helping adults and youth to expand their own knowledge of technology and the wealth of information it provides us. I look forward to serving the community of Kirksville on behalf of ETC omputerLand.

Ron Kinscherf

Senior Systems Consultant

Ron has been a member of the ComputerLand consulting staff for 17 years. He holds a number of certifications from HP and Cisco. He has received the ComputerLand National Circle of Excellence Award twice. Ron graduated Magna Cum Laude from Quincy College with a BS in Communications. After working for WTAD Radio for five years, Ron started at ComputerLand in a sales capacity. Ron continues to work for WTAD as he provides coverage of Quincy Notre Dame basketball during the winter. Ron is married to Mary and they have two children…Abby and Zach. During the warmer months, Ron enjoys sand volleyball and golf.

Ryan Hinkamper

Service Technician

Ryan hails from the sleepy bluffs of Northern Quincy. After graduating from Quincy Notre Dame, he has held many occupations seeking that ever-elusive"perfect fit" until he found it here at ETC. Ryan met his beautiful wife Sarah (also a native to Quincy) at a Catholic wedding reception where "some" drinking was involved. Some say it was the only way he would be able to land such a catch, still others attribute it to his dashing good looks and devilish charm. Ryan then moved to St Louis, Missouri to try out big city life with his new wife. While in St Louis Ryan attended ITT Technical Institute and completed an AAS in Computers and Electronics Engineering. After five years of the big city life and working with electronics, computers, and networking, Ryan and his wife moved back to Quincy where"Life is Good". Ryan enjoys hunting deer, turkey, ducks, geese, rabbits, quail, pheasants, squirrels, coyotes, crows, doves, raccoons, and anything else legal. He also enjoys golf, softball, computer games, watching the Chicago Cubs, and making fun of Cardinal fans.

Sharon has been the receptionist at ETC since August 2006. She enjoys greeting customers and helping with their computer needs. She also enjoys the challenges that come with working in the ever changing computer field. She has taken office technology courses at JWCC to keep current with office procedures. Sharon is a life long Quincy resident. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, cooking, reading, and walking.

Tracie Dalton

Finance Manager

Tracie graduated with her BS in Accounting and Business Administration from Culver-Stockton College. She received her MBA from William Woods University in 2003. After seven years as the Chief Financial Officer for an area hospital, Tracie joined the staff in March 2007. Tracie lives in Quincy with her husband Geoff and daughter Hailie. Geoff is a teacher and football coach at Unity High School. Tracie enjoys quilting, going to Geoff’s football games and spending time with her family.
